SOUTHWEST DEJA VU #2 is an 18 3/4″ x 18 3/4″ wall hanging containing seven machine appliqued New Mexico blocks: Ab`o Pueblo Mission, Rancho de Taos Church, the Kiva at Alcove House, Doorways & Petroglyph, a Roadrunner, Blue Gate, and a Whiptail Lizard.
The pattern includes full-sized blocks and reversed applique patterns for use with sewable paper-backed fusible web. Two blocks, Ab`o Pueblo Mission and Doorways & Petroglyph, use my “Needle and Thread Tracing” technique. A swatch of the blue sky fabric is in the pattern.
Although the pattern is designed without sashing and borders, a layout including sashing and borders is in the pattern. That wall hanging will finish at 26″ x 26″.
There are seven options for arranging the blocks to look their best. Also, these blocks are the same size as those in Southwest Deja vu #1, so a 6″ x 3″ block or a 9″ x 12″ block, for example, might be swapped between patterns.
Pattern is 28 pages of text and diagrams in a 9″ x 12″ plastic bag.
